Decline in Pop Warner

CEDAR CITY, Utah -- Kids can be a handful and the amount of activities out there to keep them entertained is endless. Regardless of what activities we want them to do we should always make health and safety number one priority. Its no wonder that the number in youth football participation, also known as Pop Warner, has gone down over the years.

Majority of the people living in this country know that Football is not only a majority sport but its practically religion. For most Americans, the moment their kids starts walking they already want to slap on a pair of pads and get them ready for the NFL Draft. At a young age a lot of these kids are being pushed to limits that adults are being pushed to as well.

There needs to be regulation on proper training for anyone wanting to coach Pop Warner and what the parents to need to be aware of prior to enrolling their kids in Pop Warner. If  Coaches can properly instruct their player on correct tackling techniques they decrease the number injuries due to improper tackling.

We should give parents an orientation on what they expect exactly from tackle football and possible risk that come with it. There should also be a mandatory medical exams for all kids prior to every season and more of a focus on brain exams.

Overall I would allow my kid to participate in Pop Warner but only under the circumstances I mentioned before. In addition to all of this I would encourage the government to step in and increase the age at which a kids are allowed to participate in tackle football. Given that the crucial development stages of a kids brain between five and eight.

Football is a big part of American culture and I wouldn't want to deprive my kid of that experience. That being said I would also want  my kid to live long healthy life.

A place that no matter your cultural background you can find your place among caring and supportive community members. If just for a moment you feel lost, there is someone their to walk this new path with you and guide you. At first Taco Tuesday was just another reason to eat tacos like Cinco De Mayo or Quinceneras. It was a reason to meet up with friends and spend pocket change on delicious tacos. Even though Taco Tuesday has a catchy ring to it and that would be the preferred day to grab some tacos but a lot of people have busy work da...
