Making The W.N.B.A More Profitable

CEADR CITY, Utah -- I've always believed that everyone should get paid what they are worth. With that being said in the world of sports that logic makes sense only if the team itself is also bringing the required amount of money need to pay their athlete what they're worth.

With the W.N.B.A, the problem I see is the lack of exposure they receive through marketing and social media. Now, in order to receive this kind of publicity you would need a lot of revenue and content to support it. For example this past season we had some amazing performances by players from the Seattle Storm make headline in their 2018 championship win and turns head in the sports world. Sue Birds great push in the off-season went strongly noticed at this point in her late career that it made top story on Sport Center, which got the WNBA more recognized.

Another way the WNBA could get high exposure would be to establish a stronger collaboration with the NBA to use their social media impact as a platform to market themselves better. Let's create more ads that show both high caliber players from both leagues expressing support for each other.

Media can also help by putting the W.N.B.A under a bigger spotlight that shows fans the love these females have for the game and they work just as hard as the males. Show people a different side of the players that everyone can relate to. The struggle, the work, and the determination it took to get to where their at. By the same token the W.N.B.A players need to start branding themselves better and promoting their teams from end on social media. Let everyone know what they will witness if when they attend game. Tell them about the greatness that comes from the W.N.B.A.

Learn to Taco About It

Learn To Create Simple Delicious Tacos One Taco Night - It began as a normal night in Mareno Valley California, with nine of us arguing about what we should have for dinner. You heard pizza in one corner and burgers in the other corner. As I started looking through the fridge I immediately saw the answer to the our problems. A pack of yellow organic tortillas, staring at me right in the face. I just smiled back, as ideas began turning in my head. What kind of meat would we cook?, does this fridge also have salsa, were there vegetables? if so  what kind? It would seem as a trip to the grocery store was in place. Everyone still did't know what was going on but as I started to leave I simply turned back and said "tacos" No Experience Need- It doesn't take a fancy culinary degree to put together creative tacos ideas that manifest in your head. I recommend you lead from stomach and listen to what it is trying to say. Although I suggest you don't begin thi...

Tacos Nations

Taco'ing to Strangers CEDAR CITY, Utah --This past Tuesday, I gathered a diverse group of student with different cultural background to experience one of Cedar City's best local Mexican restaurants called Lupitas. One of the best things about SUU is the cultural diversity that gives this place a worldly energy. A place that no matter your cultural background you can find your place among caring and supportive community members. If just for a moment you feel lost, there is someone their to walk this new path with you and guide you. Its part of the reason I chose Taco Tuesday as a way to guide anyone who walking alone in the unknown to a place of the known. At first Taco Tuesday was just another reason to eat tacos like Cinco De Mayo or Quinceneras. It was a reason to meet up with friends and spend pocket change on delicious tacos. Even though Taco Tuesday has a catchy ring to it and that would be the preferred day to grab some tacos but a lot of people have busy work da...

The Problem With Professional Sports

CEDAR CITY, Utah -- Some get into the professionals for the fame, some for the love of the game and others strictly for the fortune. My biggest concern is how they get to these that affects the integrity of the game. I personally love players that perform day in and day out because that is their  passion and everything else in secondary. The problem with professional sports today is the use of illegal performing enhancing drugs. We have these athletes that take these drug in order to run faster, jump higher, hit harder. Players are being more focused on their personal brand and acting like they're bigger then the team itself. When players are offered a big contract it seems as their performances go down. Once they signed the big check, they seem to coast through the rest of their careers. Then of course we have the athletes who play the game till the very end with passion, influence the game off the field. These players like Lebron James for example have the mental ability and ...
